Giochi - It's a Knockout!

On September 4th, as part of the activites of the feast of the Beheading of St. John the Baptist, the Xewkija Local Council in collaboration with Mr. Joe Louis Xiberras and his helpers, hosted of the events of Giochi - It's a Knockout! 

This event was held in the Xewkija Square and included water games and other traditional games like tug of war.  The winners of the Xewkija event, then faced other Gozitan villages in the grand finale which was held in Marsalforn.

The winners of above mentioned Xewkija edition, then faced other Gozitan edition winners in the grand finale which was held on September 11th in Marsalforn.

It was Xewkija who eventually triumphed in this grand finale, having the edge in the final game were awarded a tablet each.
