On Sunday 26th November, Xewkija Local Council hosted the first part of the annual Jum ix-Xewkija festivities, during which, those who made it at Teatru Govanni could witness a band programme by our local village band (Banda Prekursur) and several other activities organized in collaboration with our local primary school.

During the event, Ms. Maria Pia Saliba and Mr. Charles Borg were named winners of Premju Gieh ix-Xewkija and and Premju Hidmet iz-Zghazagh, respectively, for this year.
