During this festive season, Xewkija Local Council organized a party for all the Xewkija children which is held in the Roza Magro Primary School Hall.  Towards the end of the party, local Mayor Dr. Monica Vella hands gifts to all those present.

Christmas is also a time where elderly people are taken well care of, and the Xewkija Local Council organized an outing for the local elder people in a traditional Crib tour around the various shows in Gozo. Afterwards they were treated with a special Christmas dinner at the local Band Club.
