The Xewkija Local Council organized activities during the most beautiful time of the year, Christmas. The Council organized an outing for the elderly residents.  We visited various cribs in other localities in Gozo.  A lunch and a bingo (tombla) were organized at the Arka Foundation Hall in Ghajnsielem.  The Mayor Dr Monica Vella and Deputy Mayor Mr George Zammit presented gifts to all those that attended for this social event.

Another activity that was organized by the Council during Christmas time was the party for children.  For this party over hundred children attended.  Entertainment was provided by Auskan Entertainers to entertain the kids while at the end of the party the Father Christmas gave gifts to all the children. (photos of the Christmas party are not available due to technical fault in camera)
