On the 30th September 2007, French Ambassador and members of the 'Din l-Art Helwa' (from Malta and Gozo) visited the Xewkija Local Council. They were welcomed by the Mayor Dr Monica Vella, Deputy Mayor Mr George Zammit and Councillor Mr Donald Pace.

At the end of the meeting the Mayor presented a souvenir to the French Ambassador and also the book 'Xewkija, The First Village of Gozo'.
