Christmas - 2008

The Council organized an outing for the elderly residents.  We visited various cribs in other localities in Gozo.  A lunch and a bingo (tombla) were organized at the Arka Foundation Hall in Ghajnsielem.  The Mayor Dr Monica Vella presented gifts to all those that attended for this social event.

For another year, Xewkija Local Council decorated the Xewkija Parish Square to enlighten the Christmas spirit within the local people.

Another activity that was organized by the Council during Christmas time was the party for children.  For this party over eighty children attended.  The kids had entertainment and played games while at the end of the party the Father Christmas gave gifts to all the children.
